Release notes

Here you can read a short introduction to TULIP’s new features and usability improvements. We publish regular monthly release notes related to our TULIP modules and submodules:

September 2025

  • General – Redesign of the login screen & password reset screen.
  • General – We have updated and created new password reset notifications. For everyone who logs in to TULIP and requests a password reset (with active and inactive accounts, accounts with unified SSO login through the company, or for those who have multiple accounts in TULIP), we now send only the most relevant and customized information directly to your email.
  • Attendance – In the Table view and in Bulk approval, we have expanded the filtering options: it allows you to select and display only one type of request, all, and now also select multiple types of requests in one filtering at once.
  • Business trips – When filling out the form, click the “Save” button to save current data, enter even without meeting the mandatory legislative or other controls set by your employer. Only after clicking “Approve” or “Reject” will the data be checked and then sent to the next workflow step, or will trigger an error including information on what data is missing.

August 2025

  • Attendance – In Timesheet, some employees can see the schedule of their working hours and also record the actual time worked in a separate column. We’ve added the option to record one’s arrival or departure time with a single click of a button, without the need for manually entering times. Automatically recorded times can, of course, be manually edited later.
  • Attendance – If the recorded time in Timesheet triggers an error message, it will now appear immediately upon opening the Timesheet, not just when saving the data.

July, 2025

  • Attendance – Employees can close their attendance period with no warnings & also those ones that triggered warnings in orange color (only red warnings do not let you close/approve the attendance). When a manager is approving such an attendance with orange warnings, they can now see an icon – an orange triangle – next to the subordinate’s name in Attendance approval. By clicking on the icon, the manager gets more information.

June, 2025

  • Attendance – Employees can now create attendance requests directly from Shift Plan and Store Shift Plan. Double-click on any day and set up the type and details of the request.
  • Attendance – Once a request is created in Shift Plan or Store Shift Plan, all days during that time (even those that are not working days) are marked with a small orange triangle to remind managers of not planning any shifts on those free days for that employee.

May, 2025

  • General – We have added icons for TULIP pagehelp, which serve as a link between the TULIP portal and our manuals. In your account, you may now notice a clickable icon – an open book – in the upper left corner of some screens, right next to the page titles. Clicking on the icon will take you to the relevant manual or specific section of the manual.
  • Benefits – A change in columns’ width that improves the visual user experience with this module.

April, 2025

  • General – We are starting to use Announcements for important TULIP news that will be visible directly in the user’s homepage. It is possible to specify only a specific access role – only users with that role will see the announcement – so that the message will reach relevant users only.

  • Hotline – For assigned persons, it is now possible to request access rights for any employee from the same company group of a client at once.
  • HR Administration – In Admin tile, section Employees – the option to choose active &inactive employees is now moved into the main filtering options.

  • Business trips – Stand-in functionality is now available directly when creating a Business Trip Plan.

January, 2025

  • Business trips – In the filter options, you can now search for business trips by business trip ID, vehicle type, department or project.
  • Business trips – Hybrid vehicles – When adding private vehicles, employees can select multiple types of fuel and consumption per one vehicle. It is now also possible to select one vehicle multiple times in one BT (for example if the employee drove part of the BT on electricity and the rest of the BT on diesel).

December, 2024

  • Events – We added new filtering options for place & default start date of Events.
  • Business Trips
    • Creating a BT for a day without work shift – Usually, the employee can create BT only for days where there is already a planned working shift. In some cases, it is now possible to create a business trip for other days (for example, weekends) without changing the employee’s default attendance calendar. However, such a business trip is not displayed in the Timesheet and the employee musts create an attendance request for overtime work.
    • The option to discard or keep BT when a shift is changed – For clients with a shift plan, there is a setting of not automatically cancelling BT if an employee, manager, or HR changes the work shift. After the work shift is changed & shiftplan is saved, a pop-up window displays asking whether to keep the business trip or cancel along with the shift.
    • Compensation of fuel is only possible with a private vehicle – It is possible to set the obligation (or turn off the obligation) to select a private vehicle in the BT in order to be compensated for the mileage and fuel. If the employee chose another means of transportation than a private vehicle, it will not be compensated despite filling in the kilometers.
    • Defining uniform & individual “pocket money” amounts – For each employee, an extra percentage of compensation for meals during a business trip abroad (“pocket money”) can be defined either for the entire company, or for each employee separately.
    • Automatically pre-filled cost – It is possible to automatically fill in planned costs into Costs section in the settlement.
    • Displaying multiple cost type sums– Additional sum of various types of expenses can be added to the result of the business trip expense report (e.g. total transportation expenses, total accommodation expenses, total entertainment expenses, etc.).
    • Accountants can edit employeesprivate vehicles – A new section “Cars for business travel” can be added for accountants. The employees’ vehicles saved in their profile are displayed in this section and accountants can create a new private vehicle instead of an employee or edit current ones.
    • Default Meals setting – The basic setting is that all meals for all days are always automatically ticked (i.e. that the employer has provided all meals for the employee during the business trip). If the employee wants to be compensated for any meals not provided, he/she should uncheck this parameter. We have added an option where no meals are checked by default.
    • Vehicle insurance as a mandatory attachment – It was not mandatory until now, but it is possible to set this control so that the employee musts attach it when adding a private vehicle to the profile.
    • Payment types in BT – In BT settlement, it is possible to mark an cost as paid by a company card and in that case, the amount of cost is deducted from the BT settlement result. Instead of this parameter, it is possible to set a list for selection (for example “paid by employee”, “paid by company card”, “paid by agency” etc.) and each cost will be divided by payment type.

  • HR Administration – A new separate tab in administration of employees for Amendments. This feature is especially helpful for clients who are processing many different amendments for a lot of employees.

October, 2024

  • HR Administration – Calendars – you can now preview the calendar, close the preview window and it will be highlighted in a different shade of gray for better orientation in the list.
  • Attendance – Teams – Three improvements:
    • It is possible to set up the deputy manager directly in Teams administration.
    • After saving changes, a confirmation in a pop-up window displays.
    • Closing the window redirects you back to the main teams page, remembering all previous filters.
  • Business trips – A new business trip ID column can be shown in the list of all trips. Click on the icon on the left next to the column headings and tick the ID column checkbox.
  • Attendance – Vacation plan – Now it can be used by people with any amount of quota (not just full year).

  • Attendance – The new possibility to print and save PDF versions of approved attendance requests. The printable document includes the necessary data like employee´s name, duration of the request, request type, workflow (approver´s name, date and time), description, attachments. Go to approved request and open a request. Next to “Discard” and “Close” button, there is a new “Print” button.

  • Attendance – For companies that use Store Shiftplan, we can now assign access to certain employees and restrict the access for others even within one company.
  • Attendance – In attendance requests, the duration (time “From” & “To”) is automatically pre-filled for any selected day/s. If you change the date of the request, request times automatically change, too. For each day, the pre-filled time can be different. Disable automatic filling of time by ticking the box, and then fill in the time “From” & “To”.

  • General – We added a lock icon next to “Password reset and login help” button on the login page.
  • Hotline – Two changes in Access Rights requests: First, it is possible to add the end date of access. Second, both name and Personal number of employee is displayed in the search option.
  • Attendance – HR Administrators can now see their own team filtered first (not all employees at once) in attendance period approving.

April, 2024

  • Attendance – By default, entitlements in Vacation Planner are visible to all employees from the team. We added a new option which hides entitlements of other colleagues.

March, 2024

  • Attendance – We have expanded the options in searching for a name when selecting a manager in the team settings. In addition to the manager’s name, it will now also display the manager’s email and personal number, which better identifies a specific employee and prevents duplicate display of, for example, employees with multiple accounts with the same name in TULIP.
  • Custom forms – Only active employees are now displayed to administrators in the forms administration. However, it is still possible to choose to display both active and inactive employees via the three dots icon.
  • Attendance – It is possible to send summary notifications of attendance requests. When this option is set for an employee, they will not receive individual notifications about (either approved, cancelled, denied or new) individual requests. They will receive one summary notification with a description of all requests. It is possible to customize the time span between the summary notifications, for example once a week. Business trip notifications are not included in the summary notifications.

February, 2024

  • Custom forms – Optimalization of the speed of loading and updating interactive fields in forms.
  • Attendance – Delegation from attendance request (stand-in) – If an employee cannot delegate to the selected representative for some reason, TULIP will not allow the Delegation and will inform the employee with an error message in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • HR Administration – If you are using the SSO (Single Sign-On) login option, there is an option to set up automated switch of terminated employees to “non-SSO” login mode. This will allow terminated employees to log in with their own email addresses, making them access their payslips and reset their passwords.
  • Attendance – Changes in the Bulk Requests view: We have modified both the layout of the view of this page, and the description of the procedure to make it easier to understand how to create a bulk attendance request.

  • Attendance: A Czech legislative update: From January 2024 it is required to plan working time for part-time workers and allow them to take vacations. We offer multiple solutions in the evidence of working time of part-time workers for our clients.
  • Attendance – A Slovenian legislative update: TULIP created and adjusted attendance settings to accomodate changes in making evidence of breaks during worktime. The breaks are mandatory, they are a part of the working time but they are not substracted from general working time which still remains 8 hours. We found a way how to make the evidence, how to display them and also report them correctly, even for flexible shifts.

November, 2023

  • Attendance – A minor change in usability design of Attendance Approval. The month that was selected in filters is now displayed also below the filters to make sure you are approving the desired attendance period.
  • Attendance – When managers import attendance requests in bulk for employees, it is possible that there will be some conflicting requests created already. Now, it is possible to upgrade your options in TULIP – instead of searching for, deleting and creating new requests, you can select the option to delete conflicting requests immediately during the import of new requests.
  • Attendance – A visual change in Shift overlap in a PHp – Public Holiday, paid – working on a public holiday day. You will now see the either a shift name/time displayed first, or the “PHp” abbreviaton based on your preferences.
  • Attendance – A new option in Shift Plan view to display shift codes only.
  • HR Administration – Import new employees & Import changes – We updated the rules for how the system reads the data from the import sheet. Fields like “Employment start”, “Valid from” or “Effective date” pre-fill certain dates into TULIP automatically even if those fields are empty and do not contain any date. This feature allows you to make import even more intuitive and quick. You can find more detailed information on the topic in our Admin manuals for import.
  • File Manager – It is possible to copy folder location (the URL link) to system-generated folders as well. The person who wants to access the link must be allowed to display the folder in his/her TULIP account.

October, 2023

  • Attendance – We added a new functionality of setting up default worktime for Flexible shifts. This way, the employee sets up his/her own default worktime in “My Profile” tile. It is still possible to edit shift times for flexible shifts in timesheets manually.
  • Attendance – This feature allows an employee to start delegation directly via attendance request. Colleagues selected as stand-in can access and handle the list of tasks of the absent employee during the whole period of absence. If you are interested in activating this feature in your company, please contact us for more details.
  • Attendance – In case a manager has subteams in Shift Plan, the default view shows his/her subteam only. Based on the access rights of the manager, it is also possible to change view to all employees, a different subteam or even select people without a team only.
  • HR Administration – If a parameter “do not overwrite existing timesheets on change” is enabled, a calendar change does not overwrite any created timesheet.
  • HR Administration – Allowed persons can now delete certain data of employees in bulk. Insert “NULL” into a bulk changes import sheet cell – it is possible to delete employee´s manager or the date of termination.
  • HR Administration – Non-SSO and an SSO welcome notification. Up to now we only sent e-mail notifications about a new TULIP account to clients without SSO (single sign-on login method). TULIP is now able to send either an activation e-mail or just a simple informative notification to all new users by one click and decide based on their own login method which one to send.

September, 2023

  • General – Informative “ i “ icons in most frequently used reports. Click on the icon to display general information about the report directly in TULIP.
  • Attendance – A minor visual change in Timesheet – the current day is highlighted in white with dark grey letters and numbers.
  • Custom forms (CIT) – A new functionality of exporting forms for editing in PDF or XLS formats that allows making changes in questions and answers easier for administrators. We also added a new user role for a dedicated representative which allows him/her to edit the form just like the person with the original access.

August, 2023

  • Attendance – An update in the way how attendance requests during a night shift are displayed. The new view displays the request before the start of the night shift.
  • Attendance – We have added the ability to filter by the “working shift on PH” parameter in the attendance calendars, i.e. employees with a working shift on a public holiday.
  • Attendance – Shift duration format is changedand includes the following information: Shift Type (E-Early/L-Late/N-Night/F-Flexible), Time From-To (00:00 – 00:00 format), Shift Duration and Break Duration (00:00 work, 00:00 breaks).
  • Attendance – We have added the functionality to pre-fill hours in attendance activities not only according to the schedule, but also according to the actual, reported hours in the employee’s timesheet. It is possible to also edit and display real break times in Timesheet.
  • File Manager – The button to delete documents is now also available during file searches.
  • Accounting – We have added two new columns in the Export documents to Excel file, “Total excluding VAT”, and also “VAT Amount”.
  • Accounting – A new section for bank account administration – One bank account can be marked as default, and this will be automatically filled in sales documents.

July, 2023

  • Hotline – You can now search by employees´ names through all of the requests – even if the request was created by HR/operator on behalf of an employee.
  • Attendance – In vacation planner we added a new feature of planning vacations for one and half year instead of just one. This is useful for clients who want to see the plans of both current and transfered vacations of their employees.
  • HR Administration – Amendments administration is now more user-friendly and possible for both TULIP operators and clients who edit those settings themselves. You can edit the number of options and what types of special parameters you want to add.
  • HR Administration – We added a shortcut to change attendance settings for users through the employee edit. Before the change, we were able to edit attendance settings via pencil icon, and user settings separately via wheel icon. It is now possible to edit both via wheel icon.
  • Payroll – We are now displaying the current workflow status in payroll worklfow folders: workflow is not started (black), workflow in progress/waiting for an action (blue), workflow finished (green).

  • Attendance – In the ShiftPlan header you will find the number of employees and also the number of hours worked in total in one day.

May, 2023

  • Attendance – We have added the option to not send notifications about automatically approved employee requests. If employees create/cancel such a request, the manager does not receive individual notifications. However, the summary notifications remain unchanged and in the summary this way the manager will see all new and changed requests for the period.
  • Attendance – Unless set to turn off notifications, for requests where an attachment needs to be added back, we have set the notification to be sent immediately after the request is created, rather than after the attachment is added. This way the manager knows about it in advance.
  • Payroll – It is now possible to set up deadlines for finishing workflow for documents. There is also a new functionality that can prolong the deadline in case there are no documents uploaded yet.
  • Payroll – A change in names of workflow steps. It is renamed from personal, specific or role-related names into more general names like “Files upload step” etc.
  • Payroll – We broadened the setting posibilities for custom payroll folders. It is possible to create folders with many different workflow types, approvers and deadlines.

April, 2023

  • HR – It is now possible to assign managers from a different company or companies to employees. Managers are assigned by personal number or e-mail address into the import file, and if a personal number or e-mail is already present in both companies, it will trigger an error.
  • Hotline – Each employee in a company with Hotline functionality can create all types of requests (Payroll, Tax, HR etc.). We added a new possibility to show or hide only some types of request in Hotline to a selected group of employees.
  • Attendance – Shift plan – Posibility to set up a customizes default “from” and “to” time in attendance request. The duration a full day request can be set up as a planned shift time duration, real time of the shift duration, only the mandatory period of the shift etc.

March, 2023

  • General – We optimized the termination of access rights for users. This way, deleting user´s access rights is faster and smoother.
  • Business Trips – We added two alert pop-up notifications in business trips settlement form: The first one is triggered if the employee forgets to fill in the meal allowance part (the summary is 0). The second one, if the employee used a private vehicle but has not entered any mileage (the mileage is 0).

February, 2023

  • Attendance – It is possible to create cross-year requests as a single request. This is especially useful for types of requests that must be taken as a one, non-stop request: for example Business Trips, Father´s leave, Sick leave etc.
  • Attendance – In our updated Store ShiftPlan, you can notice a new button to remove work shifts as quickly as you add them.  This way, you can delete shifts for any employee in a single click.
  • Business Trips – By default, it is not allowed for employees to submit a form without TULIP checking for errors. If our new customization is enabled, we can set up a specific warning message and the employee is allowed to read & accept the message and submit the form even with some deviations from default TULIP error settings.
  • Support request – All selected filters and “sort by” parameter in Hotline is remembered. Any Hotline operator will benefit from this new setting as it makes searching and view of requests much more smooth.

January, 2023

  • Attendance – We added automatically generated timestamps to the export of attendance. Every time you export the data, you will see the data of all persons who approved a step in workflow. The timestamp generates his/her name, date and time of approval.
  • File Manager – A minor update in the functionality of moving files and folders. Now the process is more streamlined and intuitive.

December, 2022

  • Attendance – A new option of additional level of approval for attendance requests. The first level of approval is used by managers, a second level can be used by HR for example.
  • Business Trips – There are two extra access rights that can be added to a manager – read and approve Business Trip Plans and read and approve Business Trip Settlements. This access allows the manager to quickly approve business trips if the original approver is not available.
  • Business Trips – We added a new feature of displaying five most used countries first. As you submit your business trip plans, the system remembers your most used destinations and displays them first next time. For our current clients, the most used countries in period of last 2 years are displayed. 
  • Company Income Tax (custom forms) – Anytime a client or tax processor make a step at workflow, a timestamp is added into any export document. The timestamp includes information about who made the step as well as date and time. 
  • Accounting – The search in Supplier and Customer categories in filters is now increased in functionality. You can search not just by names of Suppliers/Customers, but also by their identification numbers (company registration number or ERP ID).
  • Accounting – All notes added into a document are saved automatically. With every change / approval / discard of any user with access to the document, the change is saved even without clicking on a “Save” button.  Changes are logged in the history of document.

November, 2022

  • Attendance – In shiftplan you can now see exact shift times for manually edited shifts.
  • Business Trips – We added a new possibility to add more attachments to your car in Business Trips. Now you can upload more than just your technical certificate, like for example a car insurance. 

October, 2022

  • General – Our new functionality of enabling secondary e-mail addresses allows users with an SSO (single sign-on) easier and more comfortable access to payslips in TULIP. If the feature is activated, it is useful during an out of evidence period of an employee or even after the termination of employment. It also allows users to reset their password in case of any issues with logging in.

September 2022

  • Business trips – In our updated Business Trip form, you can notice a short guide to each step of the process.  This way, you can be assured the data you enter is correct.
  • Business trips – This feature allows you to make the process of booking tickets and accommodation for business trips even more automatic and smooth. As you plan your business trip, select this option and the system creates a task for a responsible employee – usually a receptionist or an office manager.

  • General – Design changes in all headers: TULIP now displays the company name, and the logout button changed into an icon.
  • Delegation – If there is an employee´s name displayed with a small arrow, it means he/she is allowed to use another account. By clicking on the employee´s name, the option to change delegated accounts is displayed. Also, the logout button for delegation changed into an icon.
  • File Manager – Anytime you choose some of the filtering preferences, they are remembered in all your files and folders in TULIP.
  • Attendance –  A new option to filter by teams in bulk approval or single approval of attendance requests. To use this filtering option, click on three small dots in the filter.
  • Attendance – In some cases, an employee can have a negative vacation balance added. He/she can see why the vacation balance is lower and check the numbers and description.
  • Support requests – A request with a “closed” status can no longer be reopened again.
  • Business Trips – We added a new tab “accommodation” into business trip categories. It is a separate screen in the process of business trip reconciliation. You can submit data regarding your overnight stays during a trip here. This tab is currently available for polish legislation only.
  • HR Administrator – Our smart filter is able to search employees based on their first name, last name, e-mail, or personal number all in one search. It is also possible to filter by managers, team names and calendars.

June 2022

  • Accounting – Anytime you receive an invoice from a new supplier, you must create a new supplier in TULIP. Our new feature allows you to assign a default Area for this supplier, so that all future invoices will follow a certain set of approval workflow automatically.
  • Attendance – We have adjusted Vacation plan to allow our Czech users submit even last few hours (less than half days) of vacation into their vacation plan.
  • File Manager – Once an employee moves a folder or a file from one folder to another, a note is created in history of both folders. A note that says “moved” is added in the previous folder´s history, and a note that says “created” is added into a new folder´s history.

May, 2022

  • Business trip & Custom forms – Our new design change allows you to see data changes and workflow history in a single place. Click on a button named „Logs“ to see both functionalities.
  • Attendance -While team leaders can see all people from their teams in timeline view, our new feature allows them to filter which team or teams they want to display. This is especially useful for team leaders with access to big amounts of employees.

April, 2022

  • Business trip – This feature will save you some time while preparing for a business trip. Your own Business trip plans can now be copied and used again as a template.
  • Accounting – Our new function allows you to automatically distribute invoices in a PDF format to customers via email.
  • Support request – HR administrators are allowed to create support requests on behalf of other employees. The employee can see the request in his “Hotline” tile.
  • Accounting – A new parameter allows you to edit all data during the approval workflow.

March, 2022

  • File manager –We optimized the evaluation of access rights for folders with many subfolders. This way, moving through files is faster and smoother.

February, 2022

  • Accounting – Our new function allows you to upload invoicing data in a structured format (like csv,xml,xls) to file manager. The data are automatically changed into PDF invoices. Each invoice template can be customized per client request. Afterwards, all uploaded invoices are automatically issued to a client.

  • Business Trips – Approving requests for Business Trips in bulk is now available. This way, you can save time by going through multiple requests at once.

  • General– roles import for employees enables administrators to assign / remove roles faster by choosing a list of roles to add or remove and a list of employees which they want to add / remove the roles from. 
  • Attendance – notification for payroll accountants when the attendance period for the whole company is closed (approved) by the HR department. 
  • Attendance activities sharing common quota – enables multiple absence types to share a common quota 
  • Attendance – enables to run shiftplan / timesheet validation plugin upon employees period approval, while also sending additional information to the plugin about what action from what screen is happening, to enable different actions to happen on each button click 
  • File manager/Accounting – added new functionality which allow to start workflow automatically in folders dedicated for uploading documents for OCR processing (folders called “Purchase Invoices – send to OCR ”, “Sales Invoices – send to OCR”).
  • Attendance – A new calendar parameter enables you to track attendance of employees with a contracted monthly fund.
  • File Manager – Splitting folder editing rights into a “Write Folders” and “Create Subfolders” rights creates more possibilities of access for users with various roles.
  • File Manager – Now you can also receive notifications about a content change in folders in an hourly period.

This option was also added to manual folder permissions (now option to “write” is split into “write” and “create subfolders”) (note – at the moment, writer can delete or rename folders, will be changed in the future)

  • File manager – added possibility to search for files and folders based on their name within the current folder including subfolders. 
  • Attendance – Shiftplan Transpose function under Change view and Calendar screen UI upgrade
    – Possibility to switch the shiftplan to transpose view (Rows=employees, columns= dates)

  • Payroll – new function – payslips bulk download for employee  
  • Attendance – change – ShiftPlan v2 (redesign of ShiftPlan v1) and UI of the ShiftPlan page: 
    • Scrolling –removed the inside scrolling in the ShiftPlan and left only the outside scrolling in the ShiftPlan. 
    • Transparent filter menu –The filter menu is by default hidden after opening the ShiftPlan page. After opening the filter menu by pressing the triangle, you can see the transparent list of filters. 
    •  New buttons: Change view and Export to Excel. One button is used for changing parameters with visual impact on the ShiftPlan grid. Other button is used for exporting the ShiftPlan to Excel. 
    •  Full workshifts view – If the parameter „Full workshift“ is used via the “Change view” button, it is possible to display the planned workshift with the beginning and the end of the workshift, excluding the break. 
    •  Sum of shifts in hours – If the parameter „Show total“ is used via the “Change view” button, it is possible to display the sum of work shifts’ hours which are displayed in the ShiftPlan. This total purely counts only the planned shifts and does not consider any computations, example exclude of some absences or any other special setup.  
    •  Hiding free texts –If the parameter „Show free texts“ is no used via the “Change view” button, it is possible to hide ‘free texts’ used for the employees in the ShiftPlan. 
    • Compensation period – If the parameter „Show compensation period“ is used via the „Change view“ button, it is possible to show compensation period for the actual employee’s calendar in the ShiftPlan. This feature is useful for calendars with longer compensatory period; e.g. over 4 weeks.
    • Creating an attendance request in non-editable calendar In the ShiftPlan, now there is possibility to create the attendance request despite the fact that the calendar of the employee is not editable (the calendar changes are not allowed). 

April, 2021

  • General – Change of the header color when in delegation: Slight visual change of the screen header when the user switches to the delegated account. Or to her/his reports. The color changes from the typical color dark grey to magenta (dark pink). User will be able to immediately recognize that she/he is currently logged in delegated account.

March, 2021

  • HR processes (custom form) – reject pop-up window: A new parameter allows to turn off the pop-up window in the custom form set up. This pop-up appears by default after the ‘Reject’ button submission and it is used to enter the reason for the rejection. Turning this parameter off could be useful for the forms, in which 2 consecutive workflow steps belong to the same person and it is not necessary to state the reason for returning from previous step.
  • Attendance (general) – quota import template change: The change brought the update to the entitlements import template (quota imports) used by HR users. The template now supports multiple rows per employees with various valid from – to dates applied for each row separately.

February, 2021

  • General – Sending portal URL in notifications: From now on, if multiple people participate in a workflow, the URL in notifications is sent based on their individual setup (Single Sign-On or non-SSO).
  • Payroll – notifications when workflow is completed – send to all readers, uploaders: Possibility to send notifications to all people with Upload and/or Reader rights when payroll workflow (inputs, outputs, payslips, payments) is completed.
  • Attendance – Multiple request template parameter: A new parameter, that allows to generate multiple requests based on the start/end of the shift, applicable to clients with shift plan with irregular calendars.
  • Attendance – Vacation plan improvement: Availability to plan vacation during weekend for shift plan users.
    Export function added and fine-tuned to export either employees own team or whole company.
  • Attendance – ICS calendar changes: New TULIP function – iCalendar for any attendance request (Vacation, Overtime, Business trip, …).  TULIP can send iCalendar invitation (event) to your personal calendar. TULIP can distinguish if the event is private or public (private event details are not visible for colleagues). If event is associated with request and possible personal data are included such as Doctor visit, Sick leave requests are, TULIP hides all personal data and event is saved as Anonymized event in your calendar. Employees can always decide to accept or to decline the event in their calendars. Outlook version allows you to set any event status: Out of Office, Busy, Working elsewhere, Free. Gmail allows default Busy status for now only.
  • HR Processes – Role/Identity can edit finished/completed Custom form: HR role is enabled to edit or delete a completed Custom form.

January, 2021

  • Attendance – new set up for the request units: This update was made to accommodate new CZ legislation about vacations calculation. Vacation in CZ can now be submitted in days (or half-days), but the value drawn from the yearly quota will be calculated in hours based on the actual shift for that day. Both values (days requested and hours drawn) will be displayed for such requests. Remaining balance is displayed in hours, with approximation in days (hours divided by the average shift length of the employee). 

YEAR 2020

  • Payroll – possibility to generate payroll folders bi-monthly: New feature allows to generate more than 1 payroll specific folder (Inputs, Outputs,..) to accommodate frequency of payroll cycle. 
  • Attendance – Allow to change the end date of cross month requests: Employees can now change the end date of the requests that are crossing the 2 or more months, specifically if the start of the request is in a closed payroll period and the end is still in the open period. (Before such request would need to be reported as retrospective change outside of TULIP, even though the employee wanted to adjust only the end date which was still in open period) 
  • Attendance – new parameter called „Skip approval when Ask for discard”: Possibility to set a parameter on specific type of request to act as auto approved on ‘Discard’ button; this way if the request that is in approved status is deleted by the employee, such action would not go for manager’s approval, instead it would be simply deleted. 
  • Attendance – parameter – Notification for manager to approve timecard sent based on employee’s approval: New parameter allows the direct manager to receive email notification after the employee approves his timecard, in other words ‘presses’ the approve period button. If the employee reopens the period and repeats the approval, the notification will be triggered as well. 
  • Attendance – Calendar deletion and visual changes to calendar filters: New features allow the Calendar_Admin_role to delete an UNASSIGNED calendar that with deletion will no longer be visible in the calendar list. Also, the Calendar_Admin_role  can change 3 existing parameters (invisible, shift changes in shiftplan enabled, lock calendar) even if the calendar is in APPROVED status. The changes are captured in ‘logged history.’ 
  • Attendance – New role for attendance vacation plan – editor of whole company: A new role was created (Attendance_vacation_plan_editor_whole_company) to allow changes in Vacation planner to all of company’s employees. 
  • Attendance – new calendar parameter – compensatory period in months: New parameter to allow the compensatory period for calendar to be set in months in addition to specify it in weeks. 
  • Attendance – New function – Attendance bulk import: New function allows the users with appropriate access right to import attendance requests via bulk using Excel template. Based on additional access rights, it is allowed to import requests for themselves, their team or whole company – same as if they were creating attendance requests manually. Each request type needs to have an import code specified upfront, which then must be used in the excel template, alongside with the employee’s personal number, date and time from/to which the absence or presence has occurred. A description can be imported as well and expected length of request to be calculated can be specified – however, TULIP will only check this with values calculated and notify the user of any differences.
  • General change – Added new fields to XLS template for importing newcomer’s data or bulk changes
  • Attendance – General change -Timesheetv2 upgrade: New change in Timesheet v2 table offering a Total row for respective columns. 
  • Total for Presence at Work column: displays Presence at Work times duration.
  • Total for Working time column: displays employee’s shifts duration. Shift start and Shift end are editable, and change is included in Total. Total is reduced, if there is absence request (Vacation, Doctor visit, Sick leave) or Total is increased, if there is presence request (Overtime, Work on PH, On call – active, …). TULIP and client can distinguish which attendance request is subtracted or added into this Total.While editing Shift start, Shift end data, there is Calculate button available which checks and recalculates employee changes.
  • Total for Shift/request duration column: displays employee’s planned shifts duration (according to calendar) without any shift changes and requests included in.All Totals are included in Excel export as well.
  • Attendance – change – create admin interface for custom legend in attendance tile: New change in Timeline view, Clients can define their own custom legend available under Timeline view. Legend is available in languages (EN, SK, CZ, PL, RO, HU, …)
  • Events – homepage and detail of event adjustments: Recent changes in Events module:
    1. Homepage – added new sections ´Top new´ and ´Free places´:
    Top new section shows 3 newest published events (according to published date) to which it is possible to enroll Free spots section shows. 3 events that are active and have at least 1 free space or are online. Events are sorted in descending order according to the event start date i.e. first is the event that is furthest in the future from today.
    2. Waiting list– new collapsible section under the ´attendees´ section in the detail of event, shows users enrolled on waiting list of whole event or specific slot
    3. Slots copy function – available for event admin only, will make it possible to copy slots when making copy of the event with new future date while maintaining set parameters of the slots
